Victor/Victoria

Victor/Victoria

book by Blake Edwards, lyrics by Leslie Bricusse, music by Henry Mancini and Frank Wildhorn

It is Paris during the 1930s, but is this person a he or a she? A woman playing a man playing a woman? What confusion! What fun! Victoria Grant is a down-and-out opera singer. However, aided by Carroll Todd, the featured singer at a Left Bank gay night club, she becomes the toast of Paris as a female impersonator! She takes Paris by storm, only to fall in love with American gangster King Marchan. Victor/Victoria is a stylish and sophisticated show, with high-jinks both hilarious and touching.
