- We held a comedy club-like evening with visiting "Blue
Collar" comedian Ron White, and comedian Robert Hawkins. Thanks to
the USO and other sponsors, the two comedians were on a European tour visiting
US Forces in Germany and the Netherlands. They ate Thanksgiving dinner
with us at the Army dining facility, and then gave a free show to a standing-room-only
packed house. They stayed quite a while afterwards to sign autographs
and pose for pictures with their fans.
- We hosted an “Actors
Studio” Sept. 8, 2005, with celebrity guests Alex Skuby
and Larry Romano. Skuby was a recurring guest on the American television
comedy, "King of Queens." He also has extensive stage and movie
experience. Romano, who starred in the NBC series, "Kristin,"
co-starring Tony-Award winning Kristin Chenoweth ("Wicked"), and
the long running CBS hit comedy, "King Of Queens," has also seen
two of his plays staged Off Broadway, and has a musical career. This interview
and question and answer session was free to the public.
