Gods, Fairies and the Summer of Love
A Midsummer Night's Dream has been called William Shakespeare's
happiest and most enchanting work. Two young lovers, Hermia and
Lysander, take refuge in the forest to escape the wrath of the
Duke of Athens. There, we watch their hilarious misadventures as
their lives interweave with a group of bumbling actors and a
marvelous collection of supernatural creatures of the night, led
by Oberon, King of the Fairies, and Puck, his mischievous minion.
