A "Broadway In Concert” Production -- This new program is an exciting new addition to the Roadside Theater range of community service. BROADWAY IN CONCERT productions are staged concerts of full-length musicals. They allow us to present a wider range of contemporary musical theater, and we can offer exciting shows that could be presented in a full stage version due to scheduling and time constraints in our season. Each production is a unique and complete evening of theater featuring full casts and music and exciting staging techniques.

An evocative tale of the epic battle between good and evil, JEKYLL & HYDE is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story about a brilliant doctor whose experiments with human personality create a murderous counterpart. Convinced the cure for his father's mental illness lies in the separation of Man's evil nature from his good, Dr. Henry Jekyll unwittingly unleashes his own dark side, wreaking havoc in the streets of late 19th century London as the savage, maniacal Edward Hyde. JEKYLL & HYDE is pure pulse-pounding theatre, with a macabre combination of fun and fright and a lush, romantic pop score. This production will be presented as the first of a new Roadside Theater series - “Broadway in Concert.”
“ Powerfully charismatic... mesmerizing... composer Frank Wildhorn unleashes torrents of surging melody.” - Newark Star Ledger. "Lush and appealing... genuinely moving."
