Saturday, October 10:

Noon- 10:00 pm, Monologue Workshops with professional British director, Paul Bourne. Interested participants should sign up on site, Friday evening or Saturday morning and afternoon, for a 15-minute private coaching session for memorized (only) monologues, 2-5 minutes long. Three men, three women, and one teen will be chosen to publicly perform their monologues for the adjudicators on Sun at 12:30 pm. List of selectees will be announced and posted at the end of the last Saturday performance.

Sunday, October 11:

10:30-12:00: "You're Making That Up." Improvisation with world famous workshop leader Sir Mortimer Clark, who will get your creative juices flowing with theatre games and challenging scenarios from his ever popular repertoire!

12:30-1:00: "Alone in the Spotlight." Public performance of seven monologues selected from the Saturday workshop, for award consideration.

1:15-2:45: "Digging Deeper into Directing." Annette Procunier focuses on differences between dramaturgy and theatrics, script interpretation, and the playwright's intention, as applied to the directing process.

1:15-2:45: "Trust the Process" Ron Ziegler examines the rehearsal process--from auditions through performance--and discusses the nurturing and organization of human resources essential to any successful production.

3:00-4:30: "How to Survive on a Hostile Stage." Michael Fortner will share his "classified acting tips" in a dynamic performance workshop.

4:30-5:30: "The Tireless Accompanist." MTI's Jim Merillat will demonstrate the popular Rehearscore midi program, and the new "Broadway Junior Collection" of musicals especially adapted for production by youth. Study guides, too!

6:00-7:00: "Cotton Patch Gospel." A very special guest performance of this award winning musical (AACT Fest '97) by the La Crosse, Wisconsin, Community Theatre!

7:15: Closing Awards Ceremony
