Show Information:

The final musical written by Rogers and Hammerstein, The Sound of Music has remained one of the most cherished musicals in the world. The musical's heroine is a sweet young postulant, Maria. When Maria proves too high-spirited for religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain von Trapp.

The Sound of Music is based on the true tale of the von Trapp family who escape from Nazi-occupied Austria and went on to tour the world singing in concert. Their heartwarming story still enraptures audiences and delights people of all nationalities and ages.
